  • one of the all time greats of Surf music without question

  • i live in australia and we rule

I remember seeing a show where this guy showed some americans a map of australia and said the mainland was north korea and tasmania was south korea. The americans all started coming up with elaborate plans on how they would invade and didn't even notice that the country was australia lol

  • Atlantic Union Oil company, a brand of petrol back then in Australia that's all there is to it.

  • some things only get better with time

  • The father of Australian insrumental surfing bands. This music should live forever.

Check out RYANBECKERMAN(click on to VIDEO button) A great sounding band also.

  • Do you have the Atlantics playing Hawaii 50 easily the best version ever recorded

  • madbloodydog........

"played the end of the 2000 olympic games in sydney ,"

yeah that was Bombora, with Kylie Minogue kneeling ona surfboard in the Closing Ceremoany......oooooooh wadda sight !! :D

    LOL

  • thank you The Atlantics, for such a great surf track !

I grew up as a kid in the 60s on Sydney's north shore and as a 16 yo in 1968 got my first board....an 8 foot heavy plank from (i think) Shane Surfboards in Brookie. Used to store it at Manly Store-Aboard for a $1 a week. played hookey from school to go surfing at Manly and "the scary" Fairy Bower Reef. Bombora was THE surftrack of its time....never out of my head hehe.

a classic surf track that will never be forgotten.

  • An easily made mistake. I'm Australian, but for the life of me, I can't make a connection between Australia and the Atlantic. Still a truly great band and the song is just even better.

  • Love The Atlantics! Sorry if one of us "dumb Yanks" thought they were American. Please do not think that I am out to offend anyone, but, I can see where the mistake could be made. Let's face it for every 1 Australian surf band there were like 10 American bands. Then, look at the name alone, The Atlantics, sounds kinda American to me. I may be a "dumb Yank" but I do know that Australia is in the Pacific Ocean and the US has a huge Atlantic coastline. Enough ranting, The Atlantics Rule!
