**Thanks to all the fans donations I am finally able to create and upload new tutorials!! I am one lucky gal!!**
Let me take you on a journey. A journey that will demystify and explain a widely misunderstood plying technique that takes one single and turns it into a 3-ply yarn. You are entering, the Tutorial Zone. *que Twilight ZOne Music*

  • Danke für das Video, sehr schön

  • Sie sind sehr willkommen & dankt Ihnen! (You are very welcome & thank you!)

  • Hi !! Love love love your tutes, but I totally don't get this. I don't understand how you got from the loop you first created with the two knots, to the three strands you are holding.

  • Thank you kindly!!

It's just like finger crocheting only on a much larger scale. Did you watch the entire video? I don't know how much more clearer I could explain it! LOL

  • So it's sort of like a basic crochet but with really long loops?

  • Exactly!!!

  • Your video is fantastic - the person who tried to show me this did it so fast even though I asked for a slower version. I was so frustrated I never even tried to Navajo ply. Your upbeat attitude makes learning a pleasure. It is easy to see that you really care about passing on good information to help others. BRAVA!!! I am going to watch all of your videos. Hugs - Donna

  • YOU ROCK!!! I've been wondering how to do this for sometime now THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

  • OMG! My mind is totally boggled! This is *awesome*. I must go spin something just. so. I. can. try. this.

  • I used your video to learn the basics of the ply (where it becomes 3 plies....) and a few others to learn the spindle part. But now I'm waiting for my first spinning wheel to arrive......UPS should bring Monday. I'm like a little kid at Christmas. Or a big brat. Wanted to make sure I had the idea how to use a wheel to do this. Thanks for the clear demo.

I'm getting very even, Navaho plied, 18 wpi on a spindle. I've been told that is very good, so decided I could graduate with a wheel.

  • You are the spinning goddess! Thank you!

  • Oh my gosh! I get it now!!!!! YaY ME!!

    Thanks Rexenne! You are awesome!

  • I tried to post a comment and I'm not sure it worked. Well, just to make sure: Thank you for posting this video! It demonstrated navajo plying so well, I got it right on my first try with no problems. Thanks! :)

  • I watched this video a few days ago. Today I decided to try navajo plying for the first time, and thanks to the super-slow-mo demonstration I had watched, I had no trouble at all! So I looked up your video again so I could say thanks for demonstrating this so well. Thank you! :)

  • Hello, you are my spinning angel! You are beyond great, thank you so much for these videos. I have a question for you . I keep hearing people talking about Navajo plying to "conserve the colors", what the heck does that mean? I have a lovely striped roving I want to spin and am not sure how to do it without ending up with muddy colors. Thanks again!

  • I was wondering if you are spinning your wheel in the opposite direction in which you created the single?? I am ready to try!

  • Wow... I'm trying to think about how I could do this with my ©Sling-Blade Handspinner.... No treadling for me, bum feet, no electric spinner yet.. I bet I can, with some practice and park and draft!
