yes, (fehdfh), maybe - at least science can try to "diagnosis" the pure consciousness we so primatively call, god, allah, hari, etc. The main point for individual humans is for our little bubble of unit consciousness to return the sea, upon which all little bubbles are dancing in the panoramic dance we call the universe. Dogma can help us. Religioin can not help us, fear of a non-existent hell or heaven can not help us. We will have to to do sincere spiritual practice and learn to love all.

I think science in the end will prove god ,or some kind of force equally connecting us to a bigger form of creation
-
If the evidence is clear, why haven't I been convinced? I haven't rejected god, I haven't seen any god to accept. Can't accept something I can't see to exist. On the other hand, I see plenty of evidence for evolution and all that so I accept it. I'm willing to listen to people argue against it, but their arguments never hold water so I don't accept them.

No, you will stand before almighty God after rejecting him and you will be without excuse for not accepting the clear evidence for his existence seen in creation!
-
stegocephalian....quite the contrary!!

There are no "naturalistic explanations" for the universe coming into existence which make any sense at all....something so big and phenomenally complex had to come from none other than the God creator of the universe. Makes complete logical sense....
-
yeah, so you are without excuse to accept the evidence that shows that the world is shaped and created by natural forces.

Good Word. The creation speaks of the creator. Yes. RATIONAL minds understand and percieve the truth and the wisdom that God has created all things. There is nothing in this mans rational that leaves anyone to beyond a shadow of a doubt reject the creator. He is as foolish and lost as anyone can be. Pray for him. The reason I say "fool" is because a fool has said to himself 'there is no God' also professing himself to be wise and a teacher of things to lofty for him he has become a fool himself.

..modern understanding are no longer acceptable.
The more one knows of the nature of biology, geology, physics and all the study of the natural world, the more evident it becomes that the design argument doesn't work.

...the wonderful features of nature, and today, to anyone who TRULY and honestly studies the natural world, and does not pick and choose their evidence but rather looks at all of it, the design argument simply is not persuasive at all. This is not proof or evidence that god doesn't exist, but it certainly shows that the design argument is no cause for certainty about the existence of any deity.
This passage in the Bible therefore, goes the way of many other passages that, in the light of...
I agree with much of what you said at first, but when you say that religion has no place in rational discorse is a bit off, science describes the natural world and and creationism flys in the face of this and isnt scientific at all but to say if someone is religious there not rational and are creationists isnt correct, (this isnt ment as an attack AT ALL, just a clerification)

Your comment is well taken, I was a bit too hard on religion - painting all religion with a broad brush. To the extent that religion does works to relieve human suffering, I can not complain. Also, some Christians are begining to be environmentalist based on being care takers of God's creation. This is a very positive developement.

Yes he was. I think he commented on Vishnu when he saw the first test blast - realizing the great power he was witnessing. Science is a materialist philsophy when the "Idea of the Cosmic,ie God" is left out. Also, science mis-utilized is bad news. I respect Oppenheimer's view and I respect anyone's views who tend toward the mystical. I do not respect people's views who are not progressive in the area of science.

The way I heard it in a tv show: he said that when he witness the firs test in the desert. The Bhagavad-Gita is a hindu text, but it is also carries the deep philosophy of the yogis (although somewhat hidden) I agree with the yogis idea of the three concepts of generator (Brahma) , maintainer (Vishu) and destroyer (Mahesvara) as it applys to physics and science. In my video the word Nature could also mean the idea of Shakti or the energy of consciouness.

I must go back on my word not to allow any posts by religious fundamentalists. It makes life both interesting :) and depressing :( (the merry-go-round of the panoramic universe goes on, even if it is sometimes "crazy"). I would remind crazy650c that all tree Middle Eastern religions are deeply rooted in violence and genocide, even now. I will concede that the Americas have them beat with the Aztec human sacrifice culture.
