Sorry about the title mistake. *STEREO*. The Crickets turn Merseybeat and sing "From Me To You". 1964.

  • I think the Crickets also did the lovely song "Deborah". Pls post if you have. TIA

  • I've posted it for you, plus 'You Can't Be In Between'.

  • I bet almost anyone could have a hit with this one. One of the best McCartney-Lennon songs.

  • Agreed, and the Crickets do a pretty good at sounding like the Beatles. Maybe they covered it just before the Beatles went supernova in the States in 1964.

  • Never said it was, Squire, just general association / the spirit of things.

  • @Joshua12345 this isn't buddy holly

  • Poetic this, Buddy and these fellas were an early (and strong) inspiration for the Beatles, so it's great to see it the other way round.

  • I like the echo ... sounds great!

  • I never knew they did a cover of a song inspired by Buddy and themselves.

    Thank you for educating everybody.

  • Del Shannon did this one, too. Both just as the Fab Four were crossing the Pond.

  • Wasn't the "B" side: "My Girlfriend Got A Beatle Haircut?"

    tappin' toes in Texas, yall...
