  • How hilarious!! -- I love that - you turn around there's a thunder storm behind ya all the time and then its gone... its like that chick on the bus. Was she real? I'm all wet ... so.. : no no, come on... that was not vulgarity, it was poetry ...

  • I loved 1:00 to 1:17 sooo yummy....

  • Most DiFranco songs go like this: "Tampons in a swirling sea of electric shavers drowning in an abyss of endless hackneyed talentless propositions of corporate greed and flushed down a toilet of meanderings in the subatomic postmodernist world of sightless pink bunnies and my vagina screams out 'do you love me, for real?' And I'm soffocating from words on a black page that I can't see because the music is too loud and those commie fascists are laying it on the line like a lesbian in a hookah bar

  • she could fuck the whole crowd with one pluck of her guitar followed by a shot of vibrato

  • man, this woman is continually brilliant. i've been playing and writing my own stuff for 25 yrs or so, and just when i think i've come up with something good I'll listen to something from Ani, and think "damn. i gotta go practice"

  • Best song intro EVER!!!! Oh, if only I could ever be on her bus!

  • Is there anything more beautiful than a radical human singing about deep truths?!? Add the context of the Philly Folk Festival, an artist in full bloom and at the peak of her observational, poetic, and performing powers and you find an inspiration that nourishes and emboldens me every time.

  • maybe she just has new and different stories to tell :) To quote Ani herself "we never see things changing, we always see them ending" (slide)

  • chills

  • @deliciousmorton Hm, I'm not quite sure what you're asking. I did not say anything about money. I also don't know what you mean by, "How do ya go from Your Next Bold Move or Subdivision to Yes We Can?" I would need to know your interpretation of those songs and their differences to even understand what you're trying to infer.

  • @anagilmour You obviously haven't heard Yes We Can.

  • @womby28 ? Are you saying that now that she's made her money, so she doesn't have to speak out anymore? Seriously, how do ya go from Your Next Bold Move or Subdivision to Yes We Can?
