The Sacramento Chapter of the European Train Enthusiasts were operating their 12 by 17 foot, modular, HO scale layout. The layout features Märklin stud contact third-rail trackage (with the electrical pickup along the center of the ties) and a catenary overhead wire (trolley) and can operate DC or AC trains. I like the blue passenger train :-) ..."Polar Express"? Nah.

See their upcoming events and displays at http://www.ete.org/

Seen November 12, 2011 at the 35th International Railfair at the Placer County Fairgrounds in Roseville, California, USA. The presence of the ETE layout and vendors seems to be the only reason the event calls itself "International"

The ETE layout ran very, very reliably--especially compared to the other modular layouts at Railfair. That is why it is the best.

Shouldn't Rheinburg be Rheinb_e_rg?
