The TARDIS lands in England during the Second Ice Age - AD 3000.
The Doctor, Victoria and Jamie seek refuge in an scientific base where
the ice barriers are being combatted with an ioniser.
Found perfectly preserved, embedded in the ice is a body: Varga, leader
of the Ice Warriors, inhabitants of Mars who visited Earth during it's last
Ice Age in prehistoric times.

You know what i would do for fun if i was a CGI artist.
i would recreate ALL the lost episodes and just claim them to be fan made, using the original audio that way people can get to see what is missing.
Like episode 4 of the tenth planet.
id read the books and listen to the audio and take small clips and work off all of it to how i think it was done, and if a few people tell me that its slightly different i would fix it up...

@frobinhood It hasn't been released on DVD yet but the VHS release had a short reconstruction (15 miutes) of the 2 missing episodes using the many pcitures and soundtrack avilable. A CD with the full soundtrack was also included.

If im not mistaken they actually did do that. there is an ice warriors dvd that has all 4 stories - im unsure what they have done with this story though whether it has 4/6 or whether it was animated or reconstructed or what im not sure.
It sucks that sooo many of Patrick's episodes are now lost.

Four of the six episodes still exist so this story could be released on dvd if the missing two episodes were remade in animation form (as was done with The Invasion)...the BBC has stills and clips from those two lost episodes so it is doable ...it's a brilliant 60s Who story and deserves the time and effort
