Gordon Lightfoot 1974 - Sundown

This song came out when I first came back to the Bay area and I turned on the radio with the cool Pacific breeze coming in my window-so sweet.
I had just had a few drinks at a welcome back party with my old friends so I was so relaxed.

I love how catchy this song is...and you never forget the lyrics !!!

Just Saw Gordon a few days ago, Agreed 100% on the clapping. Especially now, as Gords voice sometiems becomes hard to hear, the clapping drowns it out :(

Was still a great show though.

It frightens me that I am old enough to remember this in the charts.Great song though.

The greatest lyricist of all time is Lightfoot. I don't think I've ever heard a GL composition that didn't have exceptional lyrics. Why does the audience always have to clap to the rhythm, especially when they don't have rhythm? I could never understand that. All they do is ruin the performance.
