In this video, I review the Pilot Petit1 fountain pen, which I already covered briefly in my Entry Level Fountain Pens video. This time, I cover it in more depth.

  • Hi how are you doing? I just the Petit2 and 3. I haven't inked them yet. There are no reviews on either. I actually posted 3 vids on Goulet pens. You make your vids so interesting I decided to try. Heynewgirl is my acct if you wanna look. I know they are pretty bad. Every time I hear you say cheap it sounds like you mean cheap as in crap. I would say inexpensive. What do you think. I am wondering what word I should use. I hope you had a good day today. I myself is going to bed

  • @heynewgirl I don't think your videos are bad at all! And I'd love to see the Petit2 and 3 in action! Actually, I don't want to imply that cheap is bad at all - but I agree that it may have such a connotation: I'll rephrase this in new videos :-)!

  • Kawaii! Haha sorry, the pen is sort of cute, in spite of the pregnancy test look. I'm now eyeing the white version of the pen.

I've heard that this pen can be converted to an eyedropper, since it's all plastic. Have you tried that?

  • @mkglobetrotter "Kawaii", that is just what I thought when I saw it for the first time! Yes, eyedropper conversion is possible. However, a rubber o-ring does not slip in place anywhere, so it interferes with the fit of the cap. Also, because the o-ring is pummeled by the cap all the time, mine snapped at some point, and my hand was covered in ink in a matter of seconds. Since I was in a train when it happened, I wasn't too happy. So be careful and use plenty of silicone grease.

  • Have a happy New Year!

  • @hermanvancorbach The same to you!

  • LOL. Everyone seems to know what a pregnancy test looks like.

  • @sbrebrown Duly noted! I'll likely get a cartridge, just in case.

  • @heynewgirl Yes, I see what you mean: it's not a 'bad' scratch!

  • @heynewgirl Yes, the very same to you!
