There is already an easy way to mange your windows in Compiz. It's called "Grid", and you can find it under "Window Management". The default way, you use it is with the Num Lock keys, but it can be edited to anything you like. With "Grid" you also have a lot more options to put your windows on the screen, than in the Windows way.

Thanks for this. I didn't bother with the edge bindings, but the Left and Right scripts are now bound to Super-Left and Super-Right on my Xubuntu setup to emulate the Win7 key bindings. And no need to load Compiz either, thank the lord...

Windows took the Aero-Snap idea from Compiz. Compiz already has this feature, it's called "Grid" and it has more options than Windows. Nevertheless nice tutorial, it's useful for the "metacity" people.

@JohnnyAlpha1000 i got it to work
Hi there. First off, thank you so much for this tutorial! I had problems getting this to work til I got to your video.
I hope you can get back to me on this. I noticed that you have the close, max, and min window keys on the top right (as opposed to top left) of the window. Could you tell me how you did that?
