@DrSurprise I read somewhere that Channel 4 wanted to do to her what they recently did with WPIX's Kaity Tong and Jim Watkins: getting removed from the weekday anchoring spot and taking a lower position instead (possibly just reporting or doing special segments). I believe she did not compromise with the changes, and this is what most likely led her to quit WNBC.

I think John and Michele punk'd the sports guy during the commercial break and he just cannot hide his anger (notice how Michele smiles at him and he still has that annoyed look). Just kidding! Maybe he's been having a bad day.

in my honest opinion, i think CBS 2 News was good from 1985-1993/4 and from then, it was just stupid! the themes like this sounded bleh! maybe except the grandeur theme which took its place in 2000-2001. if anything, CBS 2 News is back to its more lifelike set with the theme song that sounds so epic that began in 2007 and is still in use
