One of Roy's most moving performances. Had it been released in the earlier part of the decade, it might have been a big hit. Bubbled under the Billboard Hot 100 at #121, and charted at #53 in Australia, #39 on UK Singles chart, and #93 in Canada.

  • Another timeless performance from the most brilliant, compassionate, indescribable talented singers of all time! My gosh, this man puts through such depth and feeling. Roy was gifted from God to have the voice that he had and was able to share his talent with the world. The Big "O" has given us a lot of joy.The emotion he places forth with his BEAUTIFUL voice can bring us to tears, therefore it means we don't have to keep everything bottled up - our feelings are poured out

    Thanks for posting!

  • @spiritofthepairies You're welcome, thanks for commenting!

  • Wow -- remarkable. I compared the last 20 sec of this with the last 20 sec of Pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma and was amazed. They both hit and hold a high C coming down from a D.

  • @lbphilly Fascinating comparison!

  • Serious question: is there any "pop" music being recorded TODAY anywhere close to the quality of this?? If so, please let me know so I can buy it!

  • Not that I know of, it's pretty abysmal today, based more on electronic special effects with a beat rather than pure singing, instrumentation and talent.

  • One of the greatest songs ever recorded by a singer!

  • @Tina1greeneyesing God`s so "lucky" to have these singers in his house - while we go on u tube God just says " Roy come use my guitar & sing to me please dear Roy " - so Roy says " yea sure thing God i`ll just ask Elvis if he could play piano & John Lennon on bass guitar , Jimmy Hendrix on leed guitar ,Gearge Harrison on drumms & Pavaroti & Whitney Houstion on back up vocals - & all the angels gather around God to watch the Greatist show & get thier auto graghs after - even God wants one hehe.

  • @errolma Yes it should have been - a friend who likes singing some Roy Orbison songs told me to learn this one but i allready know how to sing 12 of his best hits - i think i know enough of his songs & need to learn other songs also but yes i do love singing his songs * projecting my voice on those high notes just like Uncle Roy hehe.

  • @fistheartmighty I`m not disagreeing with you friend.

  • @handballr15 I don`t think so , - Mr Orbison did all his songs in one take - not like today artest do many takes and splice them.

  • Je suis fan de Roy depuis 45 ans, il me fait toujours vibrer autant avec sa voix jamais égalée à ce jour, bravo l'artiste trop tôt diparu !!!

  • Another fine example of his amazing voice and no handballr15 there is no music being produced like this now because the legend is gone but will never be forgotten.

  • I thought that this was the Liverpool F.C. song (i'm a Liverpool fan) is great and i love it.

  • It's Only Obvious why they called him the BIG "O." Thank You Roy Orbison. Your Music will live forever! AMEN!

  • sums up exactly how I feel
