  • I am a 16 year old reciever, is a 51.5 second 300 yd shuttle good? I was pretty fresh, b/c all we did before hand was 3 40 yard dashes. Usually we do 3 sets and I average 56-7 seconds on all three. THis time our conditioning coach told us to do it once as fast as we could. I won it but was wondering if my time was good because I go to a private school and we dont have amazing athletes. I did it with cleats on a field, hand timed, and we did not have to touch our hand just our feet on the line.

  • @gbocobo31 That is GREAT. No matter who else is on your team. A time like that is great. What was your time when you ran it a second time?

  • my stregnth and conditioning coach has us do 3 reps of 50 yards and back......it gets real rough after 6 a day

  • Todd, I am really looking for some statical data on the 300m shuttle so I can classify my athletes. Do you know of any good scoring sheets?

  • @ToddDurkinFQ10 Sorry I didnt actually do your challenge. We either do 1 or 3, never 2. I average around 55-57 seconds when we do 3 sets with 2 minutes rest.

    If I can do 1 in 51.5 once then I could probably do 2 in 53-54. BUt maybe I will try it sometime. THanks though I really wanted to know if I did well.

  • The real way to test your conditioning is doing two back to back after a short break.. and see how far apart your times are.. 3 seconds or less would mean great condition, etc.

  • i did mines in 55.37 seconds yesterday at sgaa nith grade football practice

  • we do full field for the 300's and all of our kids made it in like 75 seconds
