i had my splean removed when i was a kid because of itp i havent any problems with my itp but now i get sick all the time so idk if it was worth it

dont get me wrong im glad i can do most things that i could not do before because of it but i know that i can get deathy ill and it still sucks its like i traded itp for someting else

my daughter she is 4 yrs old has ITP for about two years now we tryed to do everything we can for naturally but nothing worked now she has a 11thosand and I as a mother wish I can help her in anyway,,,so we thinking of having a bone marrow aspiration done for her...i PRAY IT GOES WELL FOR HER AND WE DONT HAVE TO GO BACK TO HEMATOLOGIST ANYMORE EVER...

I had ITP when I was a child. I just got sicker and sicker. One day I just snapped out of it after a 2 1/2 hospital stay. I wasn't admit to hospital before because doctor's didn't know what was wrong with me, or how to treat me. At the time of this post, I am approaching 41 :) I sympathize with anyone who has this disease. I remember it well, even though I was a child.

hi im wajahat from pakistan and im itp patient last 3 years and i have removed spleen but my platelets r 20 thousands only.and im normal activity.

My Question is " what should i do to make more platelets"?

i take tablets advised by doctors.

plz help me with it. give some advises.

yes You can be very normal.I have itp since 2005 now and i do everything that anyone else could.But I get tired quicker.

This is fascinating to me - I was diagnosed with ITP in about 1986 - the doctors tried steroids to no avail, so they removed my spleen.

Here I am about 23 years later and all is well!
