@MrShikshim one of the effects of adhd are uncontrolled emotion. so i doubt someone is abusing her.
-
I hope she is not abused by her parents, she looked very scared when she dropped the cornflakes,

@sarahomful No kidding, I meant to respond to Fizzwizz in that last post. Sorry
-
@DrJackJeckyl Right, it's all chemicals and artificial flavorings and coloring. Go Mom
-
@Fizzwizz1 Think outside the box

@sarahomful Coco puffs is pretty much the worst food anyone or thing should ever eat. First off, it's all artificially flavored, GMO corn, artificially colored, and just plain wrong. You really need to do more research about the food kids eat, it is poison. Don't believe what your doctor tells you (or you for that matter) , I've heard it all and when I tried a Natural diet, my son changed a lot. No cure but it helps. Do the research yourself

excellent finale

teach her some fucking table manners, jesus. and shes like 8 years old, does she really need half a bag of cereal in the morning? no wonder america is so fat.
I hope this child doesn't eat Coco Puffs every morning for breakfast. Chocolate and Sugar and Carbohydrates....nice....wonder why she can't keep still.

@serpentinemind Ah that old misconception again. Evidence has shown that we do more damage to our children by forcing them to omit foods they like and their friends eat drink. In reality few children actually have food/sugar hypersensitivity and we shouldn't make them feel different by cutting them out. I would agree, however, on a global change in eating habits away from carbohydrates

@Fizzwizz1 I am currently getting a double masters in nutrition and clinical health psychology and it is certainly not a myth that food is a cause of ADHD symptoms. If my son eats chocolate he exhibits many of the criteria of the disorder. I have seen kids with this diagnosis completely recover after eliminating processed foods/dyes/sugar from their diet. I can't think of a worse breakfast than cocoa puffs and probably non-organic milk. I'd act like that too if someone made me eat that. Ick

@sarahomful
I'm a medical Doctor and I can assure you that food allergy is far rarer than most realise. There are definitely some people who have hypersensitivity to food which can be exhibited as hyperactivity but this is not common. ADHD is not hyperactivity and if symptoms disappear because of dietary modification then it was incorrectly diagnosed. If you look through the clinical evidence there is little to support your argument, just a lot of anecdotal mumbo jumbo
