In yet another, shocking example illustrating how Tea Party conservative Francis X. Becker is too extreme to represent New York's 4th Congressional District on Long Island, the Right-to-Life- and NRA-supported legislator is proudly campaigning for controversial gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino, a Buffalo businessman known better for offending people than having practical and realistic ideas on how to move the state forward.

In this video, Mr. Becker rallies for Mr. Paladino at a GOP rally in Hicksville, NY on Oct. 28.

Mr. Becker is running against Rep. Carolyn McCarthy, a Democrat who first came into office in 1997 and has become a national spokesperson on issues like gun control and childhood bullying.

McCarthy campaign spokesman Shams Tarek issued the following statement on Oct. 28:

"This isn't surprising when just last night at a debate, Tea Party darling Fran Becker took a number of extreme positions: refusing to say if he opposes abortion for rape survivors, refusing to say if he'll support Roe v. Wade, and refusing to disagree with the crackpot idea that man-made global warming is a hoax.

"Carl Paladino is one of the most extreme and divisive characters to ever enter New York politics. He has insulted, disrespected and offended nearly every kind of New Yorker living here. The fact that Fran Becker has no problem supporting 'Crazy Carl' shows just how much Mr. Becker will put partisan politics before common sense and decency.

"Does Fran Becker also support putting welfare recipients in prison work camps and teaching them hygiene? Does Fran Becker think it's okay to email photos portraying the president and first lady of the United States as a pimp and prostitute? Does Fran Becker think it's okay to joke around with the N-word?

"Unless Mr. Becker denounces these acts and Carl Paladino's candidacy, he's just proving once again that the X in Fran X. Becker stands for 'extreme,' and he is unfit to represent New Yorkers anywhere."
