Playing on the ice and snow. The first minute and 53 seconds is playing on the ice in 2 wheel drive. The rest of the video is in 4 wheel drive on ice and you can see a MAJOR difference

  • My 06 hemi limited is light years better than my 2002 durango in snow, sand and mud. They might not be better for the rubicon trail, but are much better for regular 4x4ing than the 1st generation. You guys are nuts.

  • @ShadowKillah08 yup, the era of suv's is ending and now comes the horrible un terrifying terror of the cuv. yeah you can tell just by appearance that its on road use only. its all chromed out. well it had to end sometime. with gas prices these days you know? at least they're still puttin the hemi in it. well my durango only has 75,500 miles on it. and has only some rusting on the interior lower portion of the rear driver side door. some sand paper soapy water and rustoleum will fix that though

  • @aaminjoshi91 Surprisingly, the 3rd gen is only met for on road usage, regardless of having Hemi or V8 (according to Left Lane News). Hands down you are right. I'm from Wisconsin, rust problem on the tailgate interior from the winters. Black ice, snow, and 4x4 craze. The 1st gen was made for this!

  • @ShadowKillah08 yup, everything you say sounds about right. Well the jeep Cherokee's are known to be well handling off road in most of its years so hopefully the durango 3rd gen will be too. Again hopefully returning to the 1st gen it should make an r/t for the track and a slt/sxt/sport version for the terrains. i don't take my durango off road much but its good to know your "SPORT utility vehicle" is capable. plus Minnesota winters equal 5+ months of cold and snow. so 4x4 is great.

  • And people call the Durango a woman's car, or even better "Station Wagon on Steriods". Hell... lmao

  • @aaminjoshi91 Just a review site, some incorrect info, but they got it down. Durango is still on the V8s and Hemi engines, and has setups like the previously known SLTs and RT. 3rd gen is ripping off from the Charger and '09 Jeep models quite a bit than being original. The Journey is most likely part of the fray. 1st gen was based on Dakota, Ram, and Jeep Cherokee. I think Durango is using surplus model parts, based onits history. Don't you think?

  • @ShadowKillah08 yeah the third starts lookin more like the 1st but, its more like a dodge journey if anything. what is dodge doing over there?

  • @aaminjoshi91 I just now took a picture of a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen and compared them. The 1st gen looks the best. The 2nd gen is the ugliest. The 3rd gen... it's an improvement from the 2nd gen, I'll give it that. You are right, it's almost a crossover nightmare. Check out Left Lane News on it.

  • @ShadowKillah08 yeah, its the front end though. the front fender's curve a lot and they don't meet the hood in height. the should have made it more squared off in the front now when you look at it from the front it has two small rounds at the fenders and a big one for the hood. its ridiculous for us 1st gen durango guys to look at what the truck is now. and worse then that. it looks like the 3rd gen is a crossover. look it up if you haven't seen it. 2011 dodge durango.
