  • Thats great just shows how older machines are built to last unlike modern day trash

  • This machine is 50 years old and all I did was change the oil, the belt, and the door boot. Oh yes and cleaned out the water valve from all the lime scale. Thats it and it runs everyday. Yay for Bendix!

  • a 1958 washer-dryer, that must have been one the first ever, would be nice to know how it dries them too

  • It dries better than any dryer today, it actually dries with cold water, so the clothes are never overdried and come out naturally soft and unwrinkled with a normal 9 pound load. Ofcourse if you over stuff it well everything gets wrinkles.

  • Thank you all, the washer is a 1958 Bendix Duomatic Washer-Dryer and it has become my daily driver.

I invited Dr. Frigidaire back to do a vid on how well the Duomatic gets out Atomic dirt!
