Traxxas summit battery upgrade

I want some new batteries that will give me a longer run time. Any ideas on where and what to buy?

@scubasteve i just got a new summit and encounter the same problem ,it's been a month since you posted your issue, did you get any better batteries yet? because this factory batteries really suckzzz.

@elbory1246 i have not upgraded yet but i did find an old charger that is much better and charges quicker so now each battery is around 8 hours charge but i still get the same short run time

For nimh promatch racing.com better yet lipo hobby partz.com. 2s 5000 mah and up 30c and a low voltage alarm or cut off I'm using a 2s alarm on the bec side.

My summit is 15+ pounds running the dewalt 14.4 with big tires. 2 2s 5000 30c lipo getting just under a hour give or take slow climbing up the mountain

u can buy some 5000mah pair at maxamps.com, go under nimh batteries

@somewhathigh ah ic thanks man ive been doing research on these batteries but there is just so many and i just dont know which ones to get now i have a better idea and i am now i am gonna try your websites thanks a lot
