That's not true. Drugs are not really legal in BC. It's just the cops let it go. Even in Amsterdam, pot isn't really legal. They are just less strict with the enforcement. Defacto decrim/small almost legal sales. If you want to get crime out of drugs, it quite easy just like they did with alcohol. Make it legally regulated, taxed. As far as I can tell organized crime does not run beer companies and the Hells Angels aren't involved in the sale of booze....

Most marijuana users are law abiding citizens, with the exception of the fact that they smoke marijuana. And FYI: marijuana is NOT a drug. Marijuana is a plant, which has been around for thousands of years, and only illegal for about 60 years. I do not advocate the use of drugs. Marijuana is safer than alcohol, safer than tobacco, safer than coffee. All of which are legally regulated substances. Arresting marijuana users is not the answer. Legalize it, regulate it, tax it. NO CUFFS FOR CANNABIS!
