I posted "a loaf of bread, a container of milk, and a stick of butter" as a Facebook status about two years ago, and several people liked it. I have recited this over and over on several occasions whenever I need to remember something, and I'm almost 40!

Every time my sister and I are saying out loud, "WHAT was I going to get at the store," the other one invariably replies, "A loaf of bread, a container of milk and a stick of butter." And we roar like ninnies! I am 43 and she is turning 45 soon. CLASSIC!!!

Oh my god this is one of my favorites!! All I typed in the search bar was "loaf of bre" and it automatically knew what I was looking for. LOL. I would always say this when my husband & I were headed for the market, & he had no idea what I was talking about. I can finally show him.

I can still remember this list. I also think I annoyed my parents when I started saying "buttah"

I remember the old Looney Tunes cartoon from the 1930s, "The Film Fan" had a young Porky Pig going out to the store for his mother, saying "A loaf a bread, a bottle of milk, and come home right away" over and over. Wonder if this was partially inspired from that?

Once upon a time, Sesame Street was actually a good show.

Love all those! That was pretty much the timelines I watched S.S.! This animation I guess, from what I hear, was from like 1972 or 73.
