Gracie is an adoptable dog from the Kansas City Animal Shelter. She is currently living with her foster Mom and is thriving in a home environment! Gracie should go to a home where she will be the only dog. Please read her bio below:
Hi! I'm excited to say that I live with my foster mom now instead of the big scary shelter. I spent 4 weeks there and it was so frightening to me that I couldn't even step foot outside my kennel or stop shaking. My foster mom got me out there and now I'm living the good life! During the day I sleep on a big soft bed in the sun and play with toys. At first I was scared to walk around but after just a couple days I finally got the courage to walk outside all by myself! Playing outside is the best, especially when I chase my ball or squeak my stuffed sheep (watch my video)! My foster mom is amazed at how much I have come out of my shell in just a few short days. She comes into my room a lot and we play games or I get brushed. My favorite is when we cuddle together, we give each other kisses and she tells me what a joy I am. I've learned that if I need to potty a quick boof or bark will let her know I need outside. I'm pretty sure the reason I feel so comfortable in this new home is because of the patience my foster mom has shown me. I do things on my own time and don't like to be forced. When I leave this home I need a patient mom or dad that can provide me with a calm/quiet environment and let me explore with grace, just like my name, Gracie.
