My friends and I call this "One Tree Park", because there's a single big tree (the one I'm sitting on) in the center of a round gravel area. You can see a few homeless men smoking and drinking in the background, and a man and his son playing tag or something. Also a bit of background noise from pigeons and ravens. But it's usually a pretty relaxing place to practice ukulele.
Japanese people generally don't react to much, at least in Tokyo...they're kind of shy and tend to mind their own business. Street musicians are usually ignored, unless the people listening are very drunk. Then you sometimes can't get them to go away!

Thanks for the view of Japan. How do people react to your playing in public, generally? Are street musicians very common?
