RAFALE is one the best of the world !!
-
@rostant999 i am british and i agree the raffle is better all round but the 4.5 generation seem to have been a complete waste of money, the euro fighter did get the contract though. but we will be ahead when we bring out our ucav's
-
@FreddieBambino f-22 cost about 400 million a piece then add life cycle costs and it may be 700 million per plane. it would be the biggest ripe of taxpayer money except fr the fact the f-35 is 10 times worse. every time it flies it must go through 20 to 30 hours of maintenance and it never has flown combat missions and maybe never will. it is only good patrolling us skies where no one except for a mexican drug lord may take a shot at it.

@MrSouter2 sorry old boy i hope you are not crying like the brits are now. rafale is the better plane and developed, the eurofighter still need to add several feeatures but probably cant as budgets shrinking and britian, italy scalling back to free up money for the cash-cow f-35. BASe onlu wins contracts when they bribe someone (usually arabs)

(MMRCA) contract later this week -- or maybe next month, or -- since we are talking about it -- next (fill in the blank).

The eurofighter got it

Lol, sometimes when a person wishes something to be true, then it simply blocks all evidence pointing in the other direction.
F-22 is a FANTASTIC jet, that will keep you safe. I hope this helps you sleep at night.

@FreddieBambino I stopped reading at "fixed excercises"
-
LMAO, F-22 has dominated F-15-and F-16 in excercises. OF COURSE, it's beneficial for the US and Lockheed/Boeing to make fixed excercises like this. You had a report from your own congress saying it was crap. Even your secretary of defense said there was something seriously wrong with America to have actually produced this crap and not intervened earlier when it was clear the jet would be useless. This he said when the US FINALLY pulled the plug in the craptor.
the Airforce was offered the mirage 2000-5 from other airforces by dassault and those were the best bet for the airforce THAT WOULD HAVE SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED THE SQUADRON STRENGHT with minimal expenditure on the infrastructure and the mirage 2000-5 is a wll proven fighter!!! also the SU 30MKI is the mainstay fighter of the airforce and now with the rafale that strenghte will be multiplied manifold.we should have spent more on upgrading the SU30MKI even more and make it the most potent

@sidhumax Su30 MKI is already the most lethal, potent aircraft in IAF. It is a multi-role, air-superiority fighter which can also perform the task of an AWACS in case of any loss of communication with the ground control room/other fighter jets, during any operation. Currently, it is also undergoing upgrading for integrating AESA radar and the air version of hypersonic BRAHMOS.However, the MMRCA deal is for medium multi role fighters - IT IS NOT GOING TO AFFECT THE ROLE OF SUKHOI 30 MKI in IAF.
