Construction man steals FedEx package: kids tricycle

2nd Place: January 2011 Customer Success Story and Video Contest. "We ordered a tricycle for our son's 2nd birthday. It was delivered by FedEx at 2:30pm on a Tuesday. 2-1/2 hours later, the thief drives by, sees the package, turns his truck around, puts on a construction hat, and carries a phony piece of paper up to the door to look legitimate. We used the Logitech Commander software to save individual framesfrom the video of the truck and thief. We e-mailed them to all of our
neighbors. We also provided the video to our local police department. We have not heard anything back yet."

That phony construction worker will get his come-uppance when the cops catch up with him. A call that a very smart move on your count to put in the security camera at the front door. The video you captured caught him in the act!!!

I think the damn thief uses the hard-hat and paper in his hane as a cover not to draw attention. I hope they caught the prick stealing a kids gift.

i was just wondering? how long after the fed ex guy left did the guy steal the package?Just curious on if he saw the package from the road or if he may have followed the driver?

That was a FedEx package. I know this because it said "FedEx" on the side of the truck. If the letters "UPS" were on the truck, then it would be a UPS package. As we see in the video at 0:05 there is no "UPS" on the truck. Now I have to wonder, was it REALLY a "construction man" who stole the package?
