Oh hell naw. All in the Family and especially The Jeffersons ran too long; the late years were watered down. This show ended just about on time. Really it could have ended a year earlier with the mom gone, and the son in law moving in. It was getting a bit ridiculous with all those grown folks still living in the same project apartment.

  • @LeanaLuvs

It's about a black family living in the projects in the 70s, who struggled, but hung together because they had a lot a love and character.

If you listen to the lyrics of the theme you see it provides a study in contrast. Even though there living situation is "hand me down" and their subject to the disadvantages of "easy credit rip offs" they still find away to be content and have "good times" being with each other, and staying positive through there struggles.

  • can someone explain what this show is? and what its about im 14 i never heard of it

  • @bfunktube It's my favorite closing theme of any show I've ever watched.

  • FUCK THAT REAL SHIT

  • REAL SHIT

  • This show (and "Maude") ended too soon, it should've stayed on longer like "All in the Family" and "The Jeffersons".

  • One of my favorite shows and theme song, especially the closing theme :)

  • best show ever!

  • I hear John Amos saying, "Good Times was recorded on tape before a live audience" during the first three seasons. The remaining seasons had Jimmie Walker saying "Good Times was videotaped in front of a studio audience."
