Hey!

Isn't my mom the best? She did an amazing job raising me, and I only wish that everyone was as fortunate as me to have a mom like this.

This video is to show the people who are scared to come out to their parents.

This video is to the parents who would dare to disown or stop loving their kids for such a stupid and selfish reason.

Show this video to your parents, to friends or anyone who you think would benefit from it.

I know how much this would have helped me come out if I knew it would be okay to come out to my parents.

Its, scary...but it doesn't have to be! Take it from my mom and I!

Mwah

XOXO

  • I love love love your sound effects. They make the video.

  • Awesome mom is awesome.

  • Man you're mom is awesome! If only my mom was like that. My mom hates gays so i don't want to come out to her, but i do because i hate hiding who i am.

  • awww your mom is so sweet!

  • I wish my parents would take the news like this. I know they wont though. The brush with coming out i had a year ago did not go well

  • @suvariboy Awww. I will try! You're sweet and I wish you well.

  • @AnotherDayOfThis When my mom disowned me after coming out I still loved her. That was the hard part. I still had all of the memories of the good times, before I came out. That doesn't mean that I had to like her treatment of me (she rid our house of all traces of me and denied my existence), or accept any abuse. She eventually came around but it took a long time. Eventually I stopped trying and let her deal with it. I fell in love & made a life for myself apart from my family. Be strong!

  • Hello John's mom! You are so amazing to do this!! I just lost my mom last month. (I know, it sounds like I took her to the mall and now can't find her...but it's just too soon to say the "d" word.) When I came out, a long time ago. my mom disowned me and we didn't have a relationship for a very long time. She didn't actually meet my man, the LOVE OF MY LIFE until just after we'd celebrated our 20th anniversary. Luckily we mended the fence and were able to move on. She knew I loved her.

  • I LOVE your mom! I wish i had parents like your's!!! My parents are raging homo-phobics and after i came out to them they disowned me, and i almost took my life because of it. And if anyone is thinking that it would be better to kill yourself because of being gay, lesbian, or bisexual then let me tell you something: Be who you are let people know and if they cant accept you then fuck them. Don't let them take you down. find people who do accept you and don't let go! it gets better.

  • Is it bad that I still love my mom, even though she's a homophobe? I mean, she didn't kick me out, she didn't abuse me or was an unfit mother. She didn't drink or smoke and when I needed help to make ends meet, she was there.
