As much as i attempt to comprehend factoring, it's as if it just doesn't fit in my brain. To me it's just seems like inconsistent jumble. I don't see it.

Wow I wish I had you as my math professor! These are great videos and very informative! Thank you for sharing!
-
this is confusing because my questions for example are
4n^2-20n+25=0
and most of the videos on here dont show how to solve this or are they the same?

i wish you were my math teacher

@grapsl85 Because you skip something
1st term
Inside term
Outside term
Last Term
Rule: Add Inside Term and Outside Term
when my math teacher says this I have no idea but when he says it i understand it like a math wizard

what happens on the second point (my problem) 32n^2-80n+50 then it goes to 2(16n^2-40n+25) the it goes to 2(16+blank) (16+blank) but the thing is whatever multiplys into 25 doesnt go itno 40!!!!! AAAHHHHH I DONT GET ANY OF MY PROBLEMS

@grapsl85 5 goes into 40. My recommendation would be to stop trying to pull the 2 out first. Also, 2(16+blank)(16+blank) is completely wrong. Remember FOIL. 16X16=256. I don't want to answer this for you, but I'll give you a start. 8X4=32. Also, since you have -80n and +50, you know that (16+blank) is wrong because the "blank" has to be negative. This is solvable, I came up with an answer I was able to FOIL back to the original trinomial.
