@sifterjoe Go to a field, find a cow eating grass. What is the wastage of water there? Would the people of peta eat that grass? well a meat eater indirectly does because they eat the thing that eats the grass. If you then take in the other factor of intensive feeding with human made feeds, then yes, that does waste alot of water. What about a slab of soil for tomatoes that has a constant flow of water through it to allow crops to absorb feed faster. The runoff of that is huge.

@geofffrank also, petrol is not what the video is making a point of, it is talking about water, hense the whole shower thing. strawman argument there then. In the UK alot of farmers take pride in being able to say the meat is local, not forced etc. and so animals (particularly cows and sheep, the most consumed meats) feed off scrub, and not put on intense feeds etc. so the only water wastage is purely what they drink, rather than the huge amount wasted in the production of crops.
