@FarceTheory yeah I think your right. As time goes on it's no big deal. Thats the Meadia for ya. Back when I did that show I was more unsure. But not so much anymore.
@DeliberateCruelty CWD is spreading because no one is going to waist their buck tag on a 4 or 6 pointer. Blame the DNR! And don’t assume that every hunter is ignorant.
I have heared of some sharp shooting. Yes. Also I think that that cwd has been around a lot longer then detected. I'm sure I have ate some but I still recommend getting them tested. If they turn up positive I do not think I would eat them.
And CWD first spread because of hunting from supplement feeding rendered animals to the deer for large antler growth so little coward men can kill them and wrap their grubby finger around the large boned antlers. CWD are spreading today still because of hunting, more kill causes CRE plus hunters are supplement feeding deer still for large antler and herd size growth though its not rendered animals today because its been banned (we assume) supplement feeding still congregate the deer .
do you personally eat them if they turn out positive? I do. Are the DNR up there doing any sharpshooting for them? I'm from Northern Illinois and they are here and it has decemated deer hunting here. Last year they killed 700 deer to get rid of 9 infected ones!
@Deliberate Cruelty Tell that to the DNR. Wrong assumption

Earn a Buck and Illegal baiting is the only thing making CWD a issue.

You cannot destroy prions that easily because they are defective protein and death from prions is horrific because it eats holes in your brain.
