Indelible Urges (suzanne goldenberg)

Indelible Urges explores the psychic afterlife of the images that overwhelm our visual landscape. it asks where violence-saturated images end up after we consume them and how these images affect and inhabit us. Tatters of the image society provoke a stream of drawing and painting. Cut-up fashion spreads and street sounds are the impetus for a series of scenes that could be from a dream or a nightmare. A constant transformation of these mass images and their psychic load change and merge into more internal images, as well as patterns of abstract color and line.
