  • Demcad I have been talking to people about Ron Paul for about the last year. It must be doing some good because now when I go into town I hear other people talking about him. Some times word of mouth is better than advertising.

  • @radroofer Good work.

  • DEMCAD2, you are a smart, logical guy. I myself know it's not as simple as putting Ron Paul in there, even though this is the guy I will be voting for. I know you understand this as well. I know you can't put one honest guy in office and expect overnight magic. Now, putting Ron Paul in there is a good step, but Washington is so corrupt, we literally have to replace most of the people in the White House. The solution is not really political, it comes from us. We have to make the change.

  • @dukatz1 Don't get me wrong. I'm not for regulation for the sake of regulation. I think over-regulation is bad, but I think too little of it is bad too. I'm for smart regulation. That's what we need.

  • @luvitluvitbaby Fair enough. The US could definitely learn a thing or two, so look into why per capita income is so high in Norway. While the state owns many enterprises the general private sector is, for the most part, unregulated. Interesting!

  • @dukatz1 I never said you were Republican. I simply pointed out their hypocricy since they are his primary rival. While it is true places like post WWII East Germany, North Korea or Cuba are not ideal models to follow, I would not not mind taking a few plays from Norway or Sweden's playbook. Norway has the highest income per-capita. They have the most educated society, the lowest crime rate and their economy is fantastic! Just because we're the US doesn't mean we can't learn a thing or two.

  • @luvitluvitbaby here is where you are wrong! you are grouping me with a party i dont belong to (republicans) and youre also assuming that just because countries are developed that they must be doing the whole 'economics' thing correctly. do you honestly think russia, post ww2 east germany, or even modern european countries are something to be followed? they have widespread unemployment, weak economies, and lower standards of living. check the facts

  • @dukatz1 Unrestricted free market as a successful model is a fallacy. It doesn't exist. You can't name one developed country that doesn't have a heavily regulated banking system or little taxation or a considerable government regulatory apparatus. Every time we get into a recession we do a stimulus of some sort. It's only become taboo since 2009 when you know who was sworn in lol! The same Republicans claiming the Stimulus created no jobs praised it back home and took photos with fat checks lol!

  • @luvitluvitbaby when has government stimulus spending ever worked in history? how do people think that our government can somehow avoid the dead-weight loss that comes as part of taxation? plain and simple there has never been a more efficient "job machine" than an unrestricted free market. the countries with the least amount of government intervention also have the lowest unemployment. come back when youve studied basic economics and we'll talk.

  • This guy DEMCAD2 claims Obama said if the Stimulus was passed unemployment wouldn't go over 8%. That is false! I would challenge anyone to pull a quote of the President ever saying that!

  • @DEMCAD2 the American Jobs bill has been scored by Moody's, Macroeconomic Advisers, and Bloomberg and they contend that the plan will create up to 1.9 million jobs and increase GDP by 2%.

I took a look at the Republican alternative (The Plan for America's Job Creators) and the thing was about 10 pages in 24 point font adorned with BIG pictures! It lacks in detail to the point no one can score it and it doesn't look like a serious proposal.

This is why the GOP is not taken seriously.

  • @dopehousex3 Anyone is better then Obama.
