I am a former Seventh-day Adventist and the truths you speak of are what freed me from that cult. What is sad is that so much of the old covenant law and legalism has crept into Christianity and you are hitting the nail on the head. Thank-you (feel free to see some of my videos that are an outreach to SDAs)

Andrew, I love the book. I agree on your teaching and your view of tithing, but I don't know where you got the info that Levites couldnt own clothing or posessions. They couldnt own Properety (as in real estate) as they had not been apportioned any land of their own. I find no other references that forbade them from owning anything else. Can you respond?

Numbers 18:20: 'You shall have no inheritance in their Land, nor own any portion among them. I am your portion and your inheritance among the Sons of Israel." This particular verse may refer to land or land/money. We also know the leaders (the priests) wore special clothing, not traditional Jewish clothes. Your point is well taken- it's clearest to say they had no "land" or "inheritance" and wore "special clothes." Today, we leaders own land and homes, earn extra income, and wear what we want.
