This audio track is result of a 12-track live recording session done with the Edirol M-16DX.

We used an insert cable to wire the Edirol inputs to the FoH mixing console´s channel sends (inputs 3-12) and added two Milab VM-44 (inputs 1-2) to get some room ambience on tape ... um ... hard disk drive.

I use this device to record and play live with my drumkit. 7 Mics for toms. 2 overhead mics with phantom power.

This sounds great for a live mix! I don't know why the Edirol 16MDX is not available anymore. It seems like a great mixer and I like the break out box too

Exactly, 4 mic inputs and 12 line inputs. So I connected each channel from the main mixing console´s inserts (or direct outputs) to the Edirol´s inputs.

You need balanced connectors if your mixing console does not have direct outs for each channel in order to bridge the INSERTS SEND and RETURN by soldering them inside the connector. On the other end of the cable unbalanced connectors for the Edirol´s module inputs.

Wie kannst de zoviele mic's gleichweilig anschlussen? Die roland hat nicht mehr wie 4 preamps, oder?
