MARTIN SCORCESE PRESENTS - GOMORRAH

Power, money and blood: these are the values that the residents of the province of Naples and Caserta confront every day. They have practically no choice, and are forced to obey the rules of the "System," the Camorra. Only a lucky few can even think of leading a normal life. Five stories are woven together in this violent scenario, set in a cruel and ostensibly invented world, but one that is deeply rooted in reality.

I would call film near perfect. world of its characters is filmed in cinema verite style, you can feel it, smell it. highly recommended

Are you kidding me. Are you really trying to compare Detriot and N.J. to Napoli. Thats retarded. At least you have a fully functioning goverment, something that most neapolitan cities including my own San Cipriano D'Aversa dont have because of camorra infiltration. Im sure parts of N.J. and Detriot are bad, but those are just moulinyans(niggers)shooting eachother in the street, not multi billion dollar organized crime families killing for power and controll. This movie is more reality than reality television. It is a great movie, you dont have to like it but at least recognize its social significance. This stuff does not happen just anywhere. The camorra is a daily part of neapolitan life. They have infiltrated every aspect of society and government, something american mobs and sicilian mobs have never accomplished on such a grand scale. The economy of napoli is controlled in large part by the camorra. Trust me i know im from San Cipriano D'aversa

@xxkram Nonsense. It's Naples is almost entirely maffia-run... And no, the things that happen in Naples do NOT happen in every major city. You'd be beyond ignorant to compare the black, low level gangs in NY to the Camorra in Naples... Or the living conditions in Harlem to those in Scampia/Le Vele.
