This video is to prove that the Ibanez Edge III Tremolo is actually a good product IF TUNED CORRECTLY. i beat this thing in the video and it alwasy goes right back to correct tuning, i dont suggest you do that continually as it may damage ANY tremolo. Also let it be known that i AM NOT resposible for any damage YOU CAUSE to your guitar. Thank you

  • 2 words.... BRIDGE PICKUP!!!!

  • I would suggest beating the hell out of your trem. That's what they're made for.

  • @WakizashiSabre hey man, not sure what the original guys comment was, but why is it the orignal edge can hold up so long? I sold my old guitar with edge III (had it for almost 3 years and it was doing alright) and got a 550. I was skeptical that I might have to sharpen the knife edges cause it's a 21 year old guitar, but so far I tune it like once every two weeks. Isn't it just hardened knife edges? how's it so good?

  • @ozzuk616 I think that for 25,5" guitar, the 9-42 are pretty ok, not extremely sloppy to hold tuning as 8s,, 10-46 have more tense for knifes and while I do not think it is big problem, the default 9s are safe route.

  • Hello Video452 ,one problem is if it cannot hold your tune on trem, but you have to check that with tuner. Other issue, and that is possibly the problem, is low durability. I see this video is old, how is your Edge III now? ORF or Original Edge can be ok for decades literally

  • How has the Edge III on your guitar held up? you must have had it around two years now, my major complaint was that I could not get it to sit level with 10-46's, it feels fine but the cheap materials mean it has a limited lifespan and bad sound....replacing the springs to heavier ones may help with thicker strings and tuning untill the bridge wears out....

  • @2094matty that applies to every double locking floating vibrato bridge around

  • i agree with that.....

  • Now go recycle all of those damn cans and buy some lessons!!!

  • @DustinAndNatasha yeah i got mine professionally set up because i cant do it properly myself. I've had bad experiences with this trem. I think you should get the guitar you want even if it has this trem because if you dont like it afterwards, you can always return within a certain time frame

  • @2094matty that's how every tremolo is..

  • @XxHarounXx You sure you had it set up right? Cuz I am gonna get one of these and I hope it works right. i don't do many dive bombs tho so maybe I will be good. But I wanna know that I can without it stepping out of tune.
