Sweetbabyamongus, I did not once in my comment state that Janet was lip synching on this performance. I was disagreeing with the fact that you think because it is the Grammys that they will not let an artist lip synch. And you felt that because they were talking it was live, so i explained about a pre-recorded "live track." I also stated at the end that "I know Janet can sing though." You need a lesson in reading comprehension. NOW that's the end of the discussion.
@gcjacobs LOL SHE'S NOT LIP SYNCING HERE. lol wow...she is CLEARLY singing here. How do you call that not singing? Sure Janet may not have the pipes like whitney houston and others but there's something interesting about Janet's music that makes her far superior in my eyes over the others. I'm sorry you can't see that. End of discussion. :D
Sweetbabyamongus, i'm not being negative about Janet's performance, but i have to disagree about them not letting people lip synch at the Grammys. I've certainly seen artist do it. And it is possible to talk in parts of a song, due to an artist doing a pre-recorded "live track." It is studio produced, and the music and words are usually sang in a different way to promote the feel that a singer is performing live, due to the difference in sound. I know Janet can sing though.
@56Stiffy Look up her Oscar performance or her singing "I Get Lonely" on the Rosie show. Or her singing "Anytime Anyplace" on SNL. Janet has absolutely no trouble when it comes to vocals. So fall back. Seriously.
urlildawg2 - you are correct. You also forgot she performed "Again" at the Oscars. Yes, we all know she CAN sing. I think people would like to see more of it. Unfortunately, in 20 years, it's impossible to list even 5 of her live TV performances where she TRULY sang the song live from beginning to end.
