http://mactips.info Video to accompany MacTip #407, How to Trim a Movie with Quicktime Player 10. I use a tiny video clip of my dog running in Wellington's Town Belt to show how to trim away the beginning and end and leave just the few seconds of movie I want to keep.

Note: the poor quality video of the dog running after I've trimmed the movie is just an artefact of this production process. The quality in the actual movie was just as good as when I started.

Special note for those who are interested in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings movie. This tiny clip was shot just a few metres from where one of the scenes in the Jackson movie was filmed. It was the scene where Frodo and friends hide from the horsemen.

BTW: my original dog footage was shot with a Flip Mino.

  • how do u trim the middle

  • @oSuPeRiioRZz Not with Quicktime Player X, I'm afraid. You'll need to find some other video editing software to take chunks out of the middle.
