I have another upcycling tutorial for you all! I hope you enjoy making a skirt from your old shirts!
Materials
~Shirts (I used cotton shirts. As many as you want!)
~Scissors (Especially important to use your fabric scissors. Cutting all of the shirts will probably ruin your regular scissors.)
~Pins
~Marking Tool (Fabric chalk is preferable. Sometimes if I'm in a rush, I use coloured pencil and it works fine.)
~Skirt (We will use this as a template for our skirt.)
Difficulty: Medium
Time: 30 min or more
Though it seems pretty easy and straightforward, it is time consuming to cut all of the strips, pin, and sew them. The more strips you want to sew together, the longer it will take for you to make your "fabric". when you sew the strips together, it will form this big, messy "fabric." You will need two sides for your skirt, so cut two strips of the same size. We will draw the skirt shape on the fabric and cut it out. It is easier than measuring out the strips individually, making sure they are perfect. Much easier to make it a tad uneven, then cut it off so it has a clean edge.
The music is by Mindy Gledhill, "Anchor." There was no copyright intended. I just love her songs. Please don't hurt me.
Thank you for watching!! I hope you have a wonderful day and keep upcycling!
