well technically all the long hair female ghost characters been derived from korean japanese and chinese folklore and films in which then afterwards you foreigners .. westerners found out recently bout the ring and the grudge which jus crapped out the moves that it was originated from in that case japan and fyi this film came out before the ring and the grudge american version

Before i watch Asian Horror movies i read the comments first...so i would know if its worth my time...i always find myself Laughing at all the comments about Asian and American...about why is always something to do w/ hair or same song on the Ring same girl or charcter on the ring too...u just made me laugh...just its:D
