Was a good day flying out overall.....WE CHRISTENED A BIG BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL WINDSOCK! ....oh it was glorious, you should have seen it sailing in the wind..... ....but enough of that
Anyway my impressions on the HK Pitts, in the end with the settings seemed most comfy on 100% with I think it was 25% or 35% expo, a simple batt box mod to fit 2200 3s 20c with 10x7 SF prop(standard is 10x4.75)which resulted in about 20mins flight time with mixed flying. We set it up with dual rates but to be honest it didn't need it.
At first she seemed a lil tail heavy but it was simply just a matter of trimming it out, wasn't overly touchy even with such large control surfaces which surprised me. She floats really well, can be thrown around, climb rate is EXCELLENT(plenty of grunt)will fly fast or slow so it's really just a case of setting it(throws etc)to suit your flying style. As alot of you guys know I ain't no veteran when it comes to flying so for me to say this flys well you know most of you will be able to do so much more than I can with it
I'd give it:
9/10 looks
9.5/10 quality and ease of build
9.5/10 power, speed and maneuverability(10x4.75prop 13Amps@Full Throttle, 10x7prop 17Amps@Full Throttle lol what the!!! )
10/10 batt consumption(20+ mins on 2200 3s mixed flying!)
9/10 value $150 landed with 2 batts and 2 10x7 props (just needs RX, TX and a batt to fly)
8/10 ease of flying
Overall this plane was an absolute pleasure to fly and really does look good in the air Can be flown(once set up and by that I mean it literally only needed a lil trimming)by a novice/intermediate upto an expert. Build is simple and straight forward, I would have given it 10/10 on quality and ease of build if one of the 'Pitts' stickers wasn't printed backwards on the rudder and if the batt box didn't need minor modification from the factory but apart from that it's really hard to fault this plane
If you're out for a Bipe then I can STRONGLY recommend getting this plane, the only thing that is in question could be the quality of the factory 20amp ESC and motor but I guess only time will tell, apart from that...no other ????? just pop in a battery and let the BIG come across your dial. The HobbyKing Pitts is a WINNER!!!

@vizzuleyes This was shot loooong ago and the maiden was left to a more experienced flyer, I've since flown it to within an inch of its life and am now on my second one. My videos have also improved since then using better software etc, have a look for yourself if you like. The video was a piss take/spoof of Pete from Banana hobby so no....I don't act like this in real life ;)

@ap0lmc I'll have to swap out my ESC as I'm pretty sure it's only rated to 3S, what prop did you run for 4S? have you checked with a wattmeter what the amp draw/ watts are?
