Another experiment with used oil in a wood stove. It is the best result so far. I am using a piece of ceramic fiber as a wick because it won't burn up and can be used again and again. To keep the oil in the wick, I just used aluminum foil this time. The trick to get a clean burn is to have the sides of the wick covered, otherwise the oil will vaporise beside the wick without burn completely. Also keep the wick as low as possible inside the stove. Otherwise the flames will touch the top of the oven, causing soot.
