Kinnick Flyover 2010 - - This has a slow motion sequence. When you see the first jet come over the crowd, look for the vapor at the nose cone. Pretty cool. The video is set to a popular Kinnick Game Day tune.
Hawk spirit, and the USAF. Think maybe it was a tribute to Lyle. It was kick ass, get over it. "oh, luckily they didn't crash" Dude, its the USAF, not duct tape Russian air craft!
Luckily there wasn't a crash at that low altitude, it would have made the MiG accident in the Ukraine or the crash in Germany seem tiny in comparison.
@jj99f15 Hey, sorry I missed your reply. TBag is a good shit! Haven't seen/heard from him in a while but I think he's still an IP at Sheppard. Glad you enjoyed the flyby. As lead WSO (USAF '85) in my 1995 USAFA flyby I can honestly tell you that Knobber, flight lead (USAFA '86) and I were not trying to shine our asses. I can remember too as a cadet how the fly bys kept me motivated to graduate and get the hell out of there.
Jason... I was there for the 1995 flyby as a cadet. That flyby will always be in USAFAs history as the best flyby. I flew with Tbag a few years back. Yeah nowadays the AF is a different breed.
I think it wud be great that just builds to the excitement of go n to a game. love to have that happen while i was there. think the shud leave the pilots alone personally
It looked fine to me! There might be an informal investigation, but certainly no court martial. They could be grounded, loose their instructor pilot quals for a period and then back to flying instructing. But that was what happened to me in 1995 and it's a different USAF now! Good luck.
did they get in trouble?

Point being~ If the crowd cant turn their heads fast enough to see the jets before they are almost gone..neither will the enemy.

@zackeone Yup. Got the story from a guy who's a T-38 IP at Vance. Yes, the USAF and the armed forces are very different these days. Glad I'm retired!

Nothing will ever compare to USAFAs 1995 flyby. That will always be the best one in it's history. I remember looking down on the jets haha
