@lizzylizardson they did wash themselves with palmo oil. but the thing for the hot bath wasen't to wash themselves, they used them to relax and chill and a hot bath :P more like a spa or something hehe
Oh and yes , carthage had sewers , but dont forget. The Roman fought carthage and won. Carthage than used some of thr Roman's technology such as the sewer system. And greece had serwer system way after the roman did. In fact , to be more precise , the sewers that i mean si huge underground sewer system . Not a tube pushing the waste out of a house. In Europe , the sewers are mostly hunge underground way , wich was invented by romans :)
uh yes they did. And within the first civilization , they had to go get the water from he water course directly , while the romans invented the fresh water basins , wich were located in the city. The roads, i didnt say they invented them , I said revolutionary , wich means they used solid rocks , and not packed sand and dirt, They invented the curved roads. These are roads with a curve in the sides , so the water would travel off the streets. We use slightly curved streets today because of them.
the romans did not not invent sewers and water distribution systems. i dont know who did, but they existed in both Greece and Carthage. in fact a proper water distribution system is essential in a city, so it had probaly existed since the first civilications. an alexander the great traveled on the persian roads.
oh no,they just invented sewers, water distribution system, revolutionary roads. Their laws affected most of the laws seen in western countries today. They invented socks for their soldiers to fight in cold regions. As you may be seeing today, some older people sometimes wear socks in their sandals, wich was first invented by romans while fighting in cold regions. Its funny, most of the roads they made are in better shape than shitty roads we have today. And guess were the relaxing hot baths come from
I want to buy the DVDs.
