Yea bro Army Airborne Infantry. Used to carry the old M7 bayonet handle down on the left side, but I broke the damn thing. Acquired a Ka-Bar later. Since a right handed person has natural strength flinging his arm from center outwards, that is the logical place for your blade. Ten times quicker to access than on the side, and your muscles are "sprung" for a outward and upward swing to the neck/head as you simultaneously turn your body to the left. Nothing says hello like a slashed cheek.
hey man, what did you use for those straps? can I buy it somewhere?

@17samfisher They came from a hardware store, they're actually the ends of tie downs. Had to cut them to make them, sadly!

Forgot something else. mounts over your abdomen. Above the pelvis but below the ribs. This is in case you get kicked or blunt force so as not to get a bone boo boo. But I see your delima when carrying in civilian street clothes. Remember this wisdom my friend--carrying a knife like this magnifies any police charges against you. Ever heard of assault with a deadly weapon? Minimum 5 years. Carry wisely. These will ONLY get you in trouble (even though its tough and cool as hell)

@mpellegran I agree entirely, and I don't carry a knife like this in public - I stick to small folders.
Thanks for your comments and support!

When we are rucked up on patrol, my guys carry the kabars across their stomach on their non-firing side. Attatched to the fighting load carrying vest. Above the 6-pack magazine pouches. Keep equiptment off your legs. Keeps you flexible. In conferentations with locals, your arms are up in a protective posture, near your lower torso by your blade. Reaching across your body to a hip to retrieve a knife just gives me an opening to attack you and achieve the clench.

@mpellegran Great advice, are you a soldier/marine? Do you mount your Kabar's grip down, so the motion is a reach across the chest and a downward pull?
This video was primarily aimed at civilians, as we generally have less carrying capabilities on our torsos. ;)
