Google 10 to 100 Political Accountability and Transparency

The Democratic Accountability and Transparency System is a simple, voluntary and web-based means in which to gauge if elected political officials are representing the will of the people in their constituency or not. It provides the community with much more visibility, transparency and accountability than current democratic systems. The system is overseen by a publically accountable, non-partisan coalition. In a given community, every person may register using a unique identification number such as a social security number. The individuals identification is validated through public record. Current and upcoming political issues that political representatives will be voting on are neutrally worded and added to a ballot. The ballot is emailed to each representatives registered constituent before the representatives vote. Ballots are also available online. Each registered constituent may vote once on any given issue. A secure database records the votes (and perhaps comments) of each representatives constituency. The results are publicly accessible online. Representatives may use the site to see how their constituency feels about an issue. After each representative officially votes, their voting record is added to the results by the administrative group. The final results are posted online and the representatives and constituencies are emailed the results as well. The results will include how the representatives votes compared with their constituencies and will also provide an ongoing ranking of which representatives are best representing their constituencies and which are not.
