Darr shares his old .22 O.F. Mossberg and Sons rifle made in 1938. Still a great shooter. Darr also gives advice about tube fed 22s and the use of peep sights.

  • Hello I have a question. I am getting one of these. It is $250. And it has a smaller barrel. Is this a good deal?

  • @Nero619ful its hard to say. if its not a heavy barrel like the one i have, then its not a model 46-BT. there are Mossbergs that look like this rifle, but they are far more common. they are still good shooters. but it would depend on the riffling in the barrel. I wouldn't pay anyone 250 dollars for the more common ones. I'd offer the person 100-150 at most. hope that helps.

  • @tapps47 thanks for your help.

  • I'm no expert, but i do belive lead bullits lubricates just the tinyest bitt. I know for a fact older cars used gasoline that had lead in it, to lubricate the piston in the engine. I would guess that sense lead has a more soft texture and lower melting point, it's smart to stick to lead bullits. Just my thought on the matter.

  • beautiful rifle. A nice peace of history.
