Snapping Turtle Eats Minnow, Crayfish, and Bottom Feeder Fish

I just got my pet snapping turtle named LOCK JAW. He eats a minnow, small crayfish, and some species of goby or some other kind of bottom feeder either way its food to LOCK JAW. This is a cool pet and I hope to get good comments on what to add to his diet so I can post some more videos of the hunt and carnage. Comment as you wish and notice the crayfish claw that flies out of his mouth its pretty cool and I don't think I noticed it as it happened. Also wish I had been recording when he got the bottom feeder but like I said in the video it took him a while to get it and I stopped recording and later on he caught it.

Where did you get him? I've read that depending on the area where they come from that they can be carnivorous. Where as in other areas they can be herbivorous. I don't know what kind of plants but other videos on you tube will state what kind of plants their painted turtles will eat. If you want to keep you turtle a long time don't treat him like a garbage can. Just because he will eat it doesn't mean it is healthy for him. A diet high in fat WILL cause him to die of liver disease.

@sd906238 Thanks for the tip but he's not a painted turtle, but I do have a painted turtle and he is always eating my plants and sometimes a minnow or two

@StevenSchellinger YOU WILL BE HOCKED BY THIS BUT I HAD A PET FROG AND A PET small PAINTED TURTLE AND HE PAINTED TURTLE ATE IT dont get a pet frog if you have a turtle lol

@wwepokemon2 That is pretty shocking I didn't know a small painted turtle would eat a frog. Was it small? And I actually fed my snapping turtle a frog. I never seen him act so excited when he caught it. I will post that video next I think.

Nice nice mine just likes anything and hell eat every thing his name is tank becouse he rolls over every thing and eats everything lol

@StevenSchellinger the turtle shell was about 3 inches was about 2 years old i stilled called him a baby lol but i love your turtle hes cute
