I think Hei should have risen above his family's murder instead of avenging. Wanting to avenge is a normal emotion, but I think that really doing it is a completely different thing and very wrong. Would you let someone then murder you in turn? The cycle of revenge has to stop somewhere, because it isn't healthy. Like in this movie, Hei dedicated his whole life to the revenge and destroyed his wife.

great move, both actors are excellent especially tony leung in his role; i don't think he's weak or evil for taking revenge since what happened to him as a child losing his whole family in one day although i also think he shouldn't have taken revenge on his wife; he loss his reason to revenge,it's sad since he never learn how to forgive; i do think he could've moved on if his wife had lived though, it's a tragedy that he realizes too late.

Toomat you're my hero!!! I love you for making it possible for me and so many lucky fans to see beloved Takeshi and understand his movies. I can't get them here in Chihuahua and they don't show them at the movies buuuaaa :(
Not even House of Flying Daggers that is the one more commonly known in the west! At least I found it in a store and bought it! I have it like a precious treasure. What's your favorite Takeshi movie? Thank you sooo much!!!

You are welcome! I'm glad that you like it. In my country they don't show them in cinema and in TV there was just 2 films with Takeshi, but I'm looking for them on the internet, and sometimes I'm successful in it and I'll get movie which I'm looking for with eng sub. I like with Takeshi Hous of Flying Dragons too and Returner (Ritana).
