However, the territory is conspicuous by its absence from the international media agenda. We look at why the global mainstream media seems to have a collective blind spot in the Northern Caucasus.

@strizhi so , you think invading chechnya , bombng its schools , killing hundreds of children , burning villages down , all of this has been done with pure intentions ? you Putin did not mean to do so ? i am from chechnya , and i spent three months in the shelter , when russian tanks shelled Uluskert , of the villages of chechnya . i had seen awful things that russian soldiers do for which they deserved to be not only beheaded but cut into small pieces . they deserve more punishment .
